Additional Property Features

Outdoor Features

  • The gas fire pit sits at the base of our terraced flower garden. It’s surrounded by three Adirondack chairs, olive shrubs, and stones. Please ask the property representative if you would like it turned on.

  • The fruit orchard is located in the rear of the property, at the base of the Regional Park hillside. It includes a variety of trees including pears, pomegranates, cherries, and nectarines. In the spring, you’ll find a lush spread of pink and white blossoms. In the height of summer, warm summer stone fruit will be ready for you to enjoy.

  • The 600 square foot chicken coop is a sight to behold. It’s comprised of 3 spaces with man-sized gates for easy access. If you’d like to enter, please let the property representative know. Likewise, if you have a preference on whether our free-range chickens roam the yard or remain in their coop - please let us know.

  • The back terrace is a small slice of paradise sitting above the fruit orchard and directly behind the barn. It’s a perfect place to admire the lush Sunol hills and treetops. The terrace can be accessed by a traditional outdoor staircase or - if you prefer an adventure - a series of stone steps built into the terrace wall.

  • The front yard features wild roses, tall english laurels, and sprawling lawns. Despite its large size, this space feels like an inviting, cozy english garden.

  • The ‘back lot’ is how we refer to the additional acreage of Pastime Farm that extends past the chicken coop. It’s composed of a steep hillside studded with blackberries and young olive trees. There’s also a small shed and redwood deck. This part of the yard is certainly the most tucked away, but can easily be accessed through a man gate.

Logistics & Policies

Pastime Farm is available from 6am to 10pm. A property representative will be onsite for the duration of the day, in case any questions or needs arise.

For information regarding location rates, unusual hours, seasonal foliage, and availability, please contact us below.

Please note:
We request that all productions provide a COI prior to arriving at Pastime Farm.

  • Our 200 foot driveway is complete with two car gates (for street and one backyard/barn access) and two man gates.
10 cars are able to park along our driveway and 3 additional parking spots are available outside of the fence (but off the street). Additional street parking is available, only if required.

  • Accessing the house, cottage and cabins requires walking over relatively flat ground covered by bark mulch, as well as climbing stairs. The property offers many places to rest, including picnic tables, benches, and Adirondack chairs. Accessing these areas requires walking over uneven terrain, climbing stone steps, and remaining alert for holes created by our chickens. Please reach out with any questions.

  • The owner of Pastime Farm is severely allergic to synthetic fragrance and, if exposed, will immediately experience anaphylaxis. We ask that all talent, hair & makeup artists, and crew forgo all usage of fragrance before coming to set and while on set.

This can be accomplished by checking the ingredients in your hair, body, and laundry products. (If the word “fragrance” or “parfum” is listed in their ingredients, then it will be a problem.)

  • Due to high fire hazards, there is no incense, candles, or open flame of any sort to be used on the property.

  • We do not allow marijuana or illegal drugs.  (If a crew member smokes or vapes, please let us know so that we can direct them to the designated area.)

Let us know when you’d like to shoot!
We’d love to have you at Pastime Farm.
